Students have been able to build, test, and redesign their creations while learning about structures, movement, balance, and problem-solving. The bridge kit has been especially exciting as students work together to design bridges that can support weight. Watching them make changes when their first design doesn't work has been a great example of real-world engineering!\r\n\r\nThe students were immediately excited to see the new materials! They couldn't wait to start building and experimenting. The building blocks and gears quickly sparked creativity, while the bridge kit had students asking questions about how strong they could make their designs. It was wonderful to see their excitement grow as they realized they could use these simple materials to create something of their own.\r\n\r\nOur next step is to continue challenging students to use the materials in new and creative ways. Students will design, build, test, and improve bridges and other structures while learning about strength, balance, forces, and engineering. We will also use the gears, blocks, tape, and tissue paper for additional design challenges that encourage teamwork and creative problem-solving.
