After reflecting on what would have the greatest impact on my students, I chose a mobile whiteboard—and here is why.\r\n\r\nA mobile whiteboard gives me the flexibility to bring learning directly to my students, instead of keeping instruction limited to the front of the room. With it, I can move around the classroom to support small groups, provide one-on-one help, and create interactive learning spaces anywhere. Students are more engaged when they can come up to the board, solve problems, share their thinking, and collaborate with classmates. This tool also allows me to differentiate instruction more easily and use every part of the classroom as a learning zone.\r\n\r\nEven though my plan changed, the mobile whiteboard truly transforms the way I teach and the way my students learn every single day.\r\n\r\nThank you for supporting this project and helping me bring meaningful resources into my classroom.","fullyFundedDate":1746785546041,"projectUrl":"project/camp-read-a-lot/9288335/","projectTitle":"Camp Read-A-Lot","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Patrick","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9180355_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1691865562268","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9180355"},{"teacherId":9180355,"projectId":9231869,"letterContent":"The recent donation of nonfiction books has had a remarkable impact on my second-grade classroom. With a wider variety of engaging and age-appropriate nonfiction titles now available, students have shown increased curiosity and enthusiasm for reading. These books have opened new windows into the world, sparking conversations about animals, science, history, and how things work. The vibrant photographs and accessible text have not only captured their attention but also supported the development of important reading comprehension skills such as identifying main ideas, making connections, and asking questions.\r\n\r\nIncorporating these books into our daily routine has also enriched our lessons across the curriculum. During science and social studies units, students are now able to explore related topics independently, deepening their understanding and encouraging a love of learning. Many students who previously gravitated only toward fiction are now choosing nonfiction books during independent reading time, showing a newfound appreciation for factual texts. The donation has truly broadened their reading horizons and played a meaningful role in building confident, curious, and knowledgeable young readers.","fullyFundedDate":1744419622686,"projectUrl":"project/books-for-bright-futures-empower-second/9231869/","projectTitle":"Books for Bright Futures: Empower Second Graders Through Reading!","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Patrick","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9180355_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1691865562268","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9180355"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_20131","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":400,"numTeachers":22,"percentFrplEligible":95,"percentAsian":0,"percentBlack":12,"percentWhite":35,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":44,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"Pre-K - 5","studentTeacherRatio":"18.2:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"SUBURBAN","ncesMetroType":"SUBURB_LARGE"},"inStateSupporters":61.6,"schoolId":20131,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Henry S Evans Elementary School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Henry S Evans Elementary School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/indiana/river-forest-community-school-corporation/henry-s-evans-elementary-school/20131"}
