The day the boxes arrived, the boxes were delivered to the classroom. I let them sit and had students guess what they thought could be in the boxes. Maybe a puppy? Maybe some crayons? They were very excited about the possibility of anything in the box that would be for them. At the end of the day, I made time to open the boxes with the students. First, we opened the cheezits. That was exciting because it's one of their favorite snacks, so they couldn't wait for the next day's snack time. THEN we got to the floor desks. Even before we put the cushions on the seats, the kids were all trying out the desks to see what they were like. \r\nNow that we have had the desks for a few months, the students have been using them at stations time for math and reading.
