The Tonie Box allows students to choose their own listening materials and provides access to literacy and language development. My students are able to independently start a story by placing a Tonie on the top of the box. This high interest material helps students to increase their stamina for listening to a story and increasing their literacy skills. The availability to repeat familiar stories is great for increasing language development for students with language delays or English Language Learners. The Tonie Box also provides screen free access to music, stories, and more. There are so many options available for Tonies that they can easily be tied into whole group lessons.
