Although many of the books did not arrive until the start of this school year, please be assured that they are being distributed to eager students who are excited to get a new book and read. I have also made efforts to locate students from last year and ensure they receive the books they requested.\r\nStudent Engagement\r\nTo gauge interest, I began with a show of hands to see who enjoyed reading, and many students enthusiastically responded. Enclosed, you will find some of the thank you notes from students. These are in addition to the numerous verbal expressions of gratitude I received as I handed out the books.\r\nTeacher's Gratitude\r\nAs you may know, teachers often spend a significant amount of their own money on classroom supplies for their students.
