The new books have given my students exciting opportunities to practice important reading skills such as identifying themes, making inferences, analyzing characters, using text evidence, and discussing their thinking with others. Rather than simply reading to finish a book, my students are learning how stories can help them think deeply, ask questions, and connect what they read to their own lives.\r\n\r\nThe new seating has also made a wonderful difference in our classroom. During reading time, students are able to choose a comfortable spot where they can settle in, focus, and truly enjoy their books. I have seen students become excited to browse the classroom library and recommend books to their classmates. Some students who were initially hesitant to read are now much more willing to pick up a book and give it a try. Seeing students get comfortable, open a book, and become completely absorbed in a story is exactly what I hoped this project would create.\r\n\r\nThank you for helping make reading feel special in our classroom. Your support has provided my students with not only new books and comfortable places to read, but also opportunities to build confidence, strengthen their reading skills, and develop a genuine love of books.
