They couldn't wait to get their hands on and try out all of this fun, brand new equipment!\r\n The new spooner boards and buckets were used as part of our winter station activities. Each station was set up for a winter sport. The spooner boards were used as \"snowboards\". Students learned how to manipulate the board like a snowboard by moving it forward and backwards, and around in a circle as they balanced on them. They had the best time, many of them saying it was their favorite station of the day! The buckets were used at the snowball station. They were set up like Bozo buckets and kids practiced their throwing skills by throwing a fake snowball into each bucket.\r\n The padded hockey sticks were used in a floor hockey lesson, teaching all classes K-4 the basics. Since these are padded sticks, it put me at ease knowing the students can have fun and be safe at the same time!\r\n The hurdles can be used in a variety of activities, but students recently used them to jump over during their warm-up laps. In the future they will be used in station activities as well as field day stations.\r\n The students enjoyed using the baseball tees for our tee ball lesson. Now we finally have enough tees for each group to have one. The soft baseballs are awesome because they add that safety factor for all grades to enjoy!\r\n We will continue to use this new equipment in numerous ways on a continuous basis throughout the school year. That is the beauty of PE equipment, you can use it in many different ways in multiple activities.
