My goal is to inspire my student so they can each reach their full potential. I know technology and hands on activities are motivating to them because they are high interest. STEM activities will engage my students and challenge them to want to learn more. I want to create an environment where my students feel safe to explore and challenge their thinking even though they may get a wrong answer and to persevere when something may not work the first time. We learn from our mistakes and by teaching others what we have learned. I want them to be challenged and not give up. With the Bee-Bot robots, I know my students will be excited to try new things without a fear of failure. These coding robots will develop problem solving skills, math reasoning, communication skills and foster cooperative learning. I have a wide range of abilities in my classroom. Many students have strengths in areas outside of the traditional classroom curriculum. I believe these engineering activities will engage all of my learners and create an atmosphere where all of my students can succeed.
