The listening and reading part comes pretty naturally, as we practice it all day. The speaking part of the test is the most challenging part for our students, as they tend to not want to speak during class for fear of making a mistake. The headphones, along with the attached microphone, will allow them to practice speaking without fear of mistakes. They will be assigned a set of headphones that will follow them year to year so that they know only they have used them. This will help them feel more comfortable as they practice talking!\r\n\r\nThank you again for your generous donations. This is my first year teaching English as a New Language, and while I had many books from the music realm I taught in for 29 years, I did not have many books for my new position! Many of them do not speak much English at all, while others are much more comfortable speaking English. Despite their levels, they have all enjoyed having books in both Spanish and English to read! They are able to read in the language they are most comfortable in, and then work to read it in their new language (which for some of them in reading is Spanish!) We have spent much time using the books to read both languages.\r\n\r\nAgain, thank you for your donation.
