My kids have been working so hard already this year, and they have earned their Fun Friday time each week. We have so many options now for all types of play - building, creating, open-ended, functional, sensory, and social play. The Pixel art toys, which are basically complex Legos, have been extremely popular! They love that they can bring a 2D picture to life. Sometimes they follow the directions and create a 3D person, and sometimes they create their own things like TNT cubes or flower gardens. \r\n\r\nMy students thought the magnetic Minecraft-like cubes were the coolest thing! I was excited to see what their little minds could create. I have seen them create a castle, a throne, a shelter for their imaginary character, and so much more.
