It has impacted my students and classroom in many ways. \r\n\r\nI have multiple students who rely on using headphones for independent activities. Often times with their accommodations, they are able to have assignments read aloud to them on their computers. With these new headphones, students are easily able to assess these accommodations even if they don't have their own pair. \r\n\r\nThe bean bag we received also allows for some extra flexible seating options. I try to change things up for my students and give various options on where they can be most comfortable to complete their academics tasks. My students were so excited to hear about the bean bag and are anxiously awaiting their turns to use it daily. \r\n\r\nFinally, the fidgets help my students mainly in times of distress. I notice my students use these tools to help them focus their feelings and emotions on one thing. They have been a great option for students to choose from to help regulate their emotions. \r\n\r\nMy students and I are forever grateful for your support.","fullyFundedDate":1757683150266,"projectUrl":"project/bobrowskis-book-corner-and-beyond/9588119/","projectTitle":"Bobrowski’s Book Corner and Beyond","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Bobrowski","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-4_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9703707"},{"teacherId":2419061,"projectId":9439605,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for your kind donations. Everything that was purchased has already been put to great use. Before the items were sent out old pencil sharpener burnt out. There are 29 students in my class and the mail tool for writing is still the pencil. Students would try our old sharpener when their pencils got dull or broke but it only hummed and half way sharpened their pencils. This got frustrating for my students very quickly. Students were asking to borrow small personal sharpeners to everyone who had one. I was trying to go to other teacher classrooms after school to sharpen pencils. However, with 29 students that are required to do a lot of writing in just about every subject it was never enough. \r\n Also, we received a shelf organizer with bins. For storing our work. Our grade level does rotate students, so the organizer is perfect for storing materials that are needed when other students from different classes come into my room. The desk belong to my home room students, so they can just store their stuff where they sit without disrupting the space of the child that sits there a majority of the day. With the shelf, I have a storage bin for or rotation groups, writing materials, math materials, guided reading groups, and science. This helps keeps the room a lot more tidy especially when there are 30 people in a tight space all day and not enough room for everything that is taught.\r\n Once again thank for your kind donations. Everything is in use to make our lives easier in Room 28.","fullyFundedDate":1757683183249,"projectUrl":"project/a-home-for-everyone-and-everything/9439605/","projectTitle":"A Home for Everyone and Everything","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Hampton","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-1_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/2419061"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_28797","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":572,"numTeachers":45,"percentFrplEligible":95,"percentAsian":3,"percentBlack":28,"percentWhite":9,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":51,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"K - 5","studentTeacherRatio":"12.7:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"URBAN","ncesMetroType":"CITY_SMALL"},"inStateSupporters":75.5,"schoolId":28797,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Oak View Elementary School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Oak View Elementary School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/illinois/valley-view-cmty-sd-365-u/oak-view-elementary-school/28797"}
