One child came in, saw it, and exclaimed, \"who got this?\" When I told them it was me, they came over and hugged me and said, \"thank you!\" Really, this is a thank you for your generosity! It has been an incredible addition to our class.\r\n\r\nI sit with students as they play in the dollhouse. Some of them are verbalizing a dispute with a sibling or a confusing situation within their home. They are using the dollhouse to calmly work out how to make sense of their world. I listen to them as they talk through concerns or happy moments in their lives.\r\n\r\nWe have had to set a timer to ensure everyone gets a turn. Not only are the students waiting their turn, they are also sharing with others as their turn comes. We are seeing social-emotional growth in controlling emotions, putting others' needs above their own, and patience. The students are getting to know each other as they play together.
