Many students at this age are still building confidence when speaking in front of others, and the fun, interactive design of the QBall makes sharing ideas feel exciting instead of intimidating. Because students can toss the microphone safely to one another, classroom discussions become more engaging, collaborative, and student-centered.\r\n\r\nThe QBall also has a positive impact on communication and listening skills. Students practice speaking clearly, taking turns, and listening respectfully to classmates. The amplified sound helps ensure that every student can hear directions, responses, and presentations, which is especially helpful during whole-group instruction, partner sharing, and classroom discussions. This creates a more inclusive learning environment where all students feel heard and valued.\r\n\r\nIn addition, the QBall increases movement and engagement throughout the school day. Third graders learn best when they are actively involved, and incorporating movement into lessons helps maintain attention and focus. Whether used during reading discussions, math review games, morning meetings, or collaborative activities, the QBall makes learning more interactive while helping students build confidence, participation, and classroom community.","fullyFundedDate":1778016293270,"projectUrl":"project/amplifying-student-voice-through-interac/10013472/","projectTitle":"Amplifying Student Voice Through Interactive Discussion","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Kirby","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp8421502_orig.jpg?crop=240,240,x0,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1777735473649","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/8421502"},{"teacherId":8421502,"projectId":10242042,"letterContent":"Flexible seating cushions and stools have made a tremendous impact in our 3rd grade classroom by giving students more choice, comfort, and independence throughout the school day. Many students struggle to stay focused while sitting in traditional chairs for long periods of time, but having flexible seating options allows them to move, wiggle, and work in ways that help them learn best. Since introducing cushions and stools, students have been more engaged during lessons, better able to concentrate during independent work, and more excited to participate in classroom activities.\r\n\r\nThese seating options have also helped create a positive and welcoming classroom environment where students feel trusted and valued. The cushions provide a cozy space for reading and partner work, while the stools encourage movement that helps students release energy in a productive way. Students are taking greater ownership of their learning because they are able to choose seating that fits their needs and learning styles.\r\n\r\nMost importantly, flexible seating has supported both academic growth and classroom behavior. Students are collaborating more effectively, transitioning more smoothly between activities, and showing improved stamina during reading and writing tasks. Flexible seating has transformed our classroom into a more student-centered learning space where every child feels comfortable, supported, and ready to learn.","fullyFundedDate":1778118875945,"projectUrl":"project/a-seat-that-fits-every-learner/10242042/","projectTitle":"A Seat That Fits Every Learner","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Kirby","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp8421502_orig.jpg?crop=240,240,x0,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1777735473649","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/8421502"},{"teacherId":8421502,"projectId":9060023,"letterContent":"I would like to extend my heartfelt thanks for your generous support in providing flexible seating for my 3rd grade classroom. Your donation is already making a meaningful difference in how my students learn and interact throughout the day. Flexible seating gives students the opportunity to choose spaces that help them feel comfortable, focused, and ready to learn, which is especially important as they continue to grow in independence and responsibility.\r\n\r\nWith these new seating options, my students are more engaged and motivated during lessons. Whether they are working collaboratively with peers or independently on assignments, they now have the ability to select a space that meets their individual needs. This not only supports academic growth, but also encourages positive behaviors, better focus, and a sense of ownership over their learning environment.\r\n\r\nThank you again for investing in my students and helping create a classroom that is both supportive and student-centered.
