We used them over the summer during summer library. It was one of the stations that they could do during free time. Some kids were avid, experienced builders and they needed no help. They just required a safe place to build from. Some others had never built with the directions before so they learned step-by-step and how to look at a picture and transfer that to make a 3-D image. We then proudly displayed all of those for the rest of the summer with their name by it. \r\n Now that it's a school year, the library is open in the mornings and at lunchtime and we have some students that come in and work on Lego sets. The trays and zip up bags allow them store their progress so they may continue next free time. Some of these kids would not have access to instruction based Legos if not for your donation. \r\n We also have a hodge podge of donated Lego that free build is allowed . We keep these areas separated . During Summer Library we allow the kids to keep their free builds displayed so they can add to them each day. Then we take a picture and then those all go back into the everybody pile. During the school year, we don't have space for everyone to keep their free play sets so we take pictures and that way the kids get to feel proud of their accomplishments.
