Your donation is making a profound, measurable difference in the daily lives of my students.\r\n\r\nThis school year has presented unique challenges, particularly for my young learners who are navigating significant foundational gaps in reading, writing, and mathematics. Many of my students entered the classroom feeling overwhelmed by concepts that felt far out of reach. Basic arithmetic, in particular, was a major hurdle. Abstract numbers on a worksheet often led to frustration, self-doubt, and hesitation to even try.\r\n\r\nThe hands-on math tools you funded have completely transformed that narrative. \r\n\r\nThanks to your kindness, we use these new tools every day to practice addition strategies and master adding within 20. Seeing a child's eyes light up as they use these resources to figure out a problem on their own is one of the most satisfying experiences I have as an educator.\r\n\r\n\r\nThank you once again for your kindness, vision, and support. My second graders are able to differentiate where to find the English and Spanish books. Seeing their faces light up with joy as they tried out the different seating options for the very first time was an unforgettable classroom moment.\r\n\r\nWe are using our flexible seating options daily during independent reading, small-group math centers, and writing workshops. A specific moment that stood out was during a recent reading lesson: students who usually struggle to sit still were able to pick a seat that suited their sensory needs, allowing them to stay focused, comfortable, and immersed in their books for an entire 20-minute block without distraction!\r\n\r\nMoving forward, our next step is applying this boosted focus to our upcoming collaborative STEM and literacy projects.
