As soon as the materials arrived, their faces lit up with curiosity and joy. One of our favorite moments was during a social emotional learning activity when students were able to use hands-on manipulatives to explore their feelings—they immediately began making connections that weren't possible before.\r\n\r\nThese resources have helped us make learning more engaging and interactive. Students who were once hesitant are now raising their hands and participating with confidence. Right now, we're working on a project where students are using the new books and supplies to practice reading and writing in small groups, and it's inspiring to see them support one another.\r\n\r\nOur next step is to continue building on this excitement by integrating the resources into daily lessons so that students can keep growing their SEL skills within math and literacy. Thanks to your generosity, our classroom feels more alive, and my students feel empowered to learn every day.","fullyFundedDate":1752162773021,"projectUrl":"project/helping-clean-hands/9170295/","projectTitle":"Helping Clean Hands","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Brown","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp4021672_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1731813452413","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/4021672"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_27628","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":348,"numTeachers":27,"percentFrplEligible":95,"percentAsian":1,"percentBlack":33,"percentWhite":47,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":8,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"K - 4","studentTeacherRatio":"12.9:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"URBAN","ncesMetroType":"CITY_MIDSIZE"},"inStateSupporters":86.2,"schoolId":27628,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Kellar Primary School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Kellar Primary School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/illinois/peoria-public-school-district-150/kellar-primary-school/27628"}
