My students were so excited when they first saw the new materials and could not wait to start using them. Having these resources available has given them even more opportunities to learn through hands-on activities, work together, and put their creativity and problem-solving skills to use.\r\n\r\nWe have been using the materials during our STEM activities, where students are challenged to plan, design, build, test, and improve their ideas. One of my favorite parts has been watching them realize that their first idea does not always workâand that is okay! Instead of giving up, they are learning to make changes, try again, and work together to find a solution. The excitement they have when they finally get something to work is wonderful to see.\r\n\r\nAs we continue through the school year, students will take on new STEM challenges that require even more planning and problem solving. These materials will continue to be used throughout the year and will give many groups of students the opportunity to create, experiment, and learn.
