Many of them had seen the series before, but more often than not, they are already checked out of the school library. Having a class set of each title is so helpful. \r\n\r\nWe've already started a shared reading project using the books. Even some of my most reluctant readers are eagerly turning pages, laughing at Greg Heffley's adventures, and asking if we can read \"just a little more\" before moving on with our day. I've noticed students who normally avoid reading time leaning in, participating in discussions, and even quoting funny lines to their classmates.
