Our students had a fun time developing and planning ideas for their t-shirt designs, as well as decorating them and autographing each other's. We had trouble with the first batch of iron on that we received, which provided for a valuable lesson on trouble-shooting and perseverance. As well, we learned about what to do when products do not live up to expectations, discussed what to do as unhappy consumers, and drafted a request for refund/return due to the product not meeting our expectations. These were all valuable lessons for the students. In the end, we used a different iron on to apply names to the back of the shirts, and everything worked out. We all wore the shirts proudly at our final house competition, and will be able to continue representing our house in the future.
