Even the most Scrooge like person can not help but smile. How did this happen, well let me tell you. \r\n\r\nOur classroom is comprised of 11 students with many challenges that many challenges that they face head on daily. One of the biggest challenges is their lack of verbal communication which leads to trouble making friends. As teachers, paraprofessionals, and nurses we are constantly trying to brainstorm ideas to give our students opportunities to interact with their general education peers. In one brainstorming session, we determined all students respond to music and normally really like it. We decided to start a Unified Music class. This class would pair a general education peer with on our students and they will work togethers as a team. How can we have a music class with no instruments and no funds to purchase instruments? This is where your generosity comes into place! \r\n\r\nYour donation allowed us to purchase all the fun instruments. Thank you so much! As the pictures included show our first Unified Music class was a success! \r\n\r\nAs we continue to have unified music, our general education students literally run into the classroom to join their new friends and our student's faces light up with pure excitement.
