The items you have helped me purchase have made my students' days brighter and fueled their excitement for school. I've already passed out two of the birthday cups and crowns I've made for them. For some of my kiddos, this may be the only gift they receive. It's such a small gesture, but the way their faces light up is priceless. We've also read some of the books together and they are very popular choices for independent reading time. The pencil holders have saved us SO many pencils from being lost. But the clock I received is invaluable! My students refer to it all day long and are beginning to understand concepts of time. We also use it as a timer, which is especially helpful to explain how minutes and seconds work. But the most useful function is that I can use a timer while displaying what I need to on the board using my document camera, as I can't use an online timer at the same time.\r\nAs a teacher, I have spent so much of my own money on making my classroom the warm, inviting, safe space it is. With all the negative rhetoric surrounding the teaching profession, it has really made me feel so appreciated to have the greater community help me with some of the costs. Thank you, from the bottom of my heart.","fullyFundedDate":1780597327072,"projectUrl":"project/tools-for-learning-belonging-and-celeb/10085464/","projectTitle":"Tools for Learning, Belonging, and Celebration","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Haddadin","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-3_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10429485"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_26125","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":353,"numTeachers":26,"percentFrplEligible":95,"percentAsian":2,"percentBlack":0,"percentWhite":41,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":19,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","percentHawaiianImputed":0,"percentMultiracialImputed":35,"gradesServed":"Pre-K - 1","studentTeacherRatio":"13.6:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"SUBURBAN","ncesMetroType":"SUBURB_LARGE"},"inStateSupporters":74.5,"schoolId":26125,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Dorn Elementary School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Dorn Elementary School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/illinois/north-palos-school-district-117/dorn-primary-center/26125"}
