One of the hardest things for students in a music class is being able to practice music without feeling like they're being judged by others. These headphones will ensure that the students have privacy while they are learning their parts. It's also very hard to be able to practice a part when you have everyone else around you playing other things. \r\n\r\nFor the last couple of years the only music electives offered are music history, band, drumline, and choir. Music history can be boring for most students, and the performance classes are very time consuming. Having piano as an option is sure to give a lot of new students a chance to get a music education without worrying about the commitment or studying. A flip folder and lyre are essential parts to making a marching band operate, so the students will now be well equipped to start their high school journeys in July. \r\n\r\nThe students haven't seen the materials, but they will in February when they come to our school to perform with us at a Basketball game. They're for sure going to be relieved to hear the news, and also happy that they won't have to carry a music stand across the school to the gym! \r\n\r\nUnfortunately, some of the requested items were out of stock with all vendors, so we had to select alternate replacement items. Practice mutes were purchased to allow some of our students to practice at home quietly. Unfortunately, some parents aren't very fond of loud noise in their homes, so this will definitely help keep all parties happy. Thank you again! Those two instruments were not in playing condition, so we sent them in with the hope that the two students would be able to overcome their obstacle with normal clarinets. Normal Bb clarinets require the covering of holes with their finger tips, but unfortunately these two students have very tiny hands. This made clarinet difficult for them to perfect. Once they return from the shop the students will finally be able to go to play their instruments confidently. That wouldn't be possible without this donation!
