The students were very happy to see the new supplies in the learning areas. At this time of the year, the supplies start to dwindle, break, or run out. Because of your donation the students have access to new supplies to continue to learn for the remainder of the year.\r\n\r\nHands-on learning activities are a great way for students to learn. Many students are either visual or kinesthetic learners. For this reason, hands-on activities are imperative to have to encourage these learners to explore and develop their thinking. Students are able to use the tools to use place value to regroup when adding and subtracting. The students used the chips to make 10 to regroup and were able to see the process rather than just try to memorize an algorithm.\r\n\r\nDry erase markers and dry erase boards are used every day in the classroom to show their work and explain their thinking. Unfortunately, at this time of the year many of the dry erase markers are drying out because of usage.
