Because of your generosity, we were able to purchase a variety of equipment that will not only be used while teaching soccer, but throughout the entire school year in many different activities and units.\r\n\r\nMost recently, students used our new 6-inch cones for a Cone Flip Challenge. Each student was able to have their own cone as they traveled around the gym challenging classmates at four different corners. The first player to successfully land a cone flip moved on to the next corner. Our Kâ2 students also used the cones during a game of Builders and Bulldozers, where half of the class worked to stand the cones up while the other half tried to knock them over.\r\n\r\nThe students have loved getting to use the new equipment! One of my favorite parts is seeing their reactions when they walk into the gym and notice all of the bright, colorful equipment set up and ready for class. That excitement immediately gets them ready to move, play, and learn.\r\n\r\nMoving forward, these materials will continue to give our students even more opportunities to practice skills, work with classmates, and participate in creative activities throughout the year. We will also be using the new equipment during our upcoming soccer unit and finding many other ways to incorporate it into our PE program.\r\n\r\nThank you again for investing in our students and helping us provide them with fun, meaningful opportunities to be active. Your support has made a wonderful difference in our PE program, and we are incredibly grateful!","fullyFundedDate":1781487923044,"projectUrl":"project/soccer-equipment-world-cup/10333376/","projectTitle":"Soccer Equipment (World Cup)","teacherDisplayName":"Mr. Gross","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-5_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10113429"},{"teacherId":10417992,"projectId":10149358,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for the books for my speech room. I am so excited to use them this coming school year for new lessons for my speech and language caseload. I service around 60 children, ranging from K-5th grade, both in general education and special education classrooms. These books will allow for us to develop deeper connections to outside situations or experiences that my, underserved population, would otherwise not experience. We will read the book together, working on phonetic, articulation, stuttering or vocabulary skills. We will complete activities derived from the books to work on comprehension and communication skills. My students have absolutely loved adding them to our physical education program.\r\n\r\nSince receiving them, we have already used the buckets in a variety of creative ways â for stacking challenges, tossing and catching activities, target games, and even organizing equipment during stations. Their size makes them incredibly versatile and engaging for students of all grade levels.\r\n\r\nDuring our recent Winter Olympic stations, students participated in a target challenge where they tossed a rubber band ball toward the buckets, aiming to land it inside. If successful, they retrieved the bucket and began building their own tower. The excitement in the gym was incredible as students worked together and were amazed at just how tall their towers could grow!\r\n\r\nLooking ahead, we are excited to incorporate the Jumbo Buckets into our upcoming cup stacking unit. Students will practice their speed stacking skills using both regular and jumbo-sized cups, allowing them to explore coordination, timing, and teamwork in a new and challenging way.\r\n\r\nYour support has provided hands-on learning opportunities that promote movement, creativity, and problem-solving.
