They couldn't wait to start building, coding, and experimenting. In our afterschool Lego Club, students immediately began brainstorming creative designs from moving vehicles to interactive story models and collaborated to bring their ideas to life. The new materials have turned our club into a lively space full of teamwork, problem-solving, and joyful discovery.\r\n\r\nThese Spike Essential Sets have opened up new opportunities for hands-on learning that blend computer science, engineering, and creativity. Students are learning to code their creations while also strengthening important life skills such as communication, perseverance, and collaboration. It's inspiring to see them work together to troubleshoot coding challenges and celebrate when their projects finally move or light up as intended. For many, this is their first time experiencing what it feels like to be an engineer or programmer.\r\n\r\nNext, our students will be diving into a project where they design and code small robots to complete simple challenges, like navigating a maze or responding to a sensor. Thanks to your generosity, we can continue providing these high-impact, engaging learning experiences that build confidence and curiosity in STEAM. Your support has made a lasting difference in helping all students. Regardless of background to gain access to meaningful, hands-on learning.","fullyFundedDate":1756908564017,"projectUrl":"project/fostering-steam-learning-through-coding/9396275/","projectTitle":"Fostering STEAM Learning Through Coding with Lego Spike Education Sets","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Schroeder","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp8678896_orig.jpg?crop=1440,1440,x0,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1688758498178","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/8678896"},{"teacherId":8537492,"projectId":8958288,"letterContent":"I am writing to express my deepest gratitude for your incredibly generous donation of books, dry erase markers, and snacks to our classroom.
