In kindergarten we were able to set up Kinder Cardiology, where they practiced their reading skills as cardiologists. Our first-grade students operating room was filled with activities where they had to put bones together, read x-rays, fix broken hearts, stitch number bonds together, and use surgical tools to find letters to build sight words. Our second-grade students performed nonfiction text feature surgery. Overall, our surgical room was a big hit and success with our whole building.
