Your donation has made such a meaningful difference in our classroom and has helped create a warm, welcoming learning space that I hoped to provide my first grade students. \r\n\r\nOur rug truly has become the heart of our classroom. We gather there every day for morning meetings, read alouds, phonics lessons, classroom discussions, and so many other moments of learning and connection. The colorful faces on the rug give each student a designated spot that feels like their own, while still bringing us together as one classroom community.\r\n\r\nThe rug has also given my students a comfortable alternative to sitting at their desks throughout the school day. They love gathering there to learn together, and they often choose the rug as a place to play and spend time with their classmates during choice time or indoor recess. It has become a space where they learn, talk, listen, laugh, and build friendships.\r\n\r\nOne of my goals for this project was to create a space where my students would feel comfortable, connected, and excited to learn together. Thanks to your generosity, that vision has become part of our everyday classroom experience. We are already using the materials throughout the school day to support movement, calming, focus, and emotional regulation.\r\n\r\nOne of the best parts has been watching students begin to recognize what their own bodies need. They are learning that taking a sensory break is a tool that can help them feel calm, focused, and ready to learn. Whether a student needs movement, a quiet space, or a sensory tool to help them reset, we now have more options available to meet their individual needs.\r\n\r\nBecause of your generosity, our students have a space designed to support the whole child.
