A significant part of my project consisted of age-appropriate, fun, and culturally relevant books, a mobile book shelf, and lap desks for our class library. When we unpacked the books, I read \"From Head to Toe\" to my students. Imagine a room of kindergarteners all laughing and wiggling their toes, beating their chests like monkeys, and yelling \"read it again, that was fun!\" That is how your donations impacted my class. The students were engaged and excited about reading and making predictions about what would happen next. And amid the giggling and wiggling, they learned about the concepts of print, the roles of the author and illustrator, characters and settings, and punctuation.
