My students use the store daily. They are shopping for products, learning how to compute in various ways (multiplication and addition), as well as subtraction for figuring change. They also use the shop to buy things for themself as they earn rewards throughout the week. They use their skills learned in daily lessons to help them make their shopping choices. I have even seen them generalize the shopping math skills to other types of math problems they come across in their lessons.
