The boards have an electronic component that allows kids to write on them with a pen and erase them with the push of a button. There is also a switch on the back that allows students to lock the eraser button so their information can not be erased. The pen is plastic, contains no ink, so it never needs to be replaced and can't be lost because it is attached to the board! The students love the colors that they can write with. I love that they love the boards because they are excited to get them out and I don't have to worry about replacing dried out markers and lost marker caps! \r\n\r\nFinally, the chair pockets have been amazing to help with student organization. We keep items that we use all of the time in the pockets that hang on the back of our chairs. Your generosity has truly made a world of difference in their classroom experience.\r\nI've already seen a significant transformation in the students' desk spaces. Previously, I was constantly doing desk cleanouts due to the lack of space for their supplies. However, with the new chair pockets, they now have more room and, more importantly, better organization. It's been a game changer!\r\nThe students have shared how much easier their lives have become. One even said, \"These make my life so much easier, Miss Archibald! I actually have a clean space. My desk area is cleaner than my room at home!\"\r\nAlthough chair pockets might seem like a small addition, their impact has been profound. The students are learning the importance of maintaining an organized space, and this lesson will stay with them for life. Thanks to your kindness, they now have a practical tool for better organization, which I hope will benefit them beyond the classroom.\r\nThank you once again for making such a positive impact on their education and everyday lives!","fullyFundedDate":1734214938636,"projectUrl":"project/pocket-full-of-sunshine/8984833/","projectTitle":"Pocket Full of Sunshine","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Archibald","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9853575_orig.jpg?crop=4480,4480,x0,y1120&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1752200073230","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9853575"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_27903","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":136,"numTeachers":12,"percentFrplEligible":62,"percentAsian":0,"percentBlack":2,"percentWhite":79,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":11,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"3 - 5","studentTeacherRatio":"11.3:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"SUBURBAN","ncesMetroType":"SUBURB_LARGE"},"inStateSupporters":72.2,"schoolId":27903,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Lincoln Elementary School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Lincoln Elementary School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/illinois/east-peoria-elementary-school-district-86/lincoln-elementary-school/27903"}
