Thanks to your support in providing sheet protectors, folders, and an ice maker, our students have experienced improvements not only in their academic performance but also in their daily school experience. Your investment in these tools has created a more organized, equitable, and engaging learning environment where students can flourish with confidence and focus.\r\n\r\nBefore this project, many of our students struggled to keep track of their coding walkthroughs, reference sheets, and instructional examples. Coding requires students to follow sequences, debug logic, and track progress through multiple steps. Without proper organizational tools, students often misplace papers, crumple important guides, or waste precious instructional time trying to locate missing materials. Since introducing sheet protectors and folders, students have been able to store their materials neatly, revisit past lessons efficiently, and focus on developing solutions without disruptions. The simple act of having a designated home for their coding resources has made a profound difference in classroom routines. Students now arrive with materials ready, transition between activities smoothly, and spend more time actively engaging with code rather than managing paper clutter.","fullyFundedDate":1768683746940,"projectUrl":"project/code-in-order-tools-for-clear-coding-wa/9985230/","projectTitle":"Code in Order: Tools for Clear Coding Walkthroughs","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Reynolds","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp3739897_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1673301810267","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/3739897"},{"teacherId":10347230,"projectId":9886892,"letterContent":"When students first received the binders, their excitement was immediate and genuine. Many students commented on how \"official\" they felt having their own science binder, and several shared that this was the first time they had ever owned one just for a class. It was incredibly meaningful to observe students label their binders and take ownership of their materials. That moment set a positive tone for our classroom and reinforced that their learning matters.\r\nThanks to your support, our next steps include continuing hands-on labs, interactive notebook work, and evidence-based writing as students explore how body systems work together. These binders will travel with them throughout the year, serving as a record of their growth as scientists and thinkers. Your generosity has given my students not just supplies, but a stronger sense of pride, responsibility, and belonging in our classroom. Thank you for helping make that possible.","fullyFundedDate":1762819017336,"projectUrl":"project/science-class/9886892/","projectTitle":"Science Class","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Carroll","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-6_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10347230"},{"teacherId":3739897,"projectId":9972273,"letterContent":"Because of your generosity, my STEM classroom is now equipped with essential hands-on tools such as Makedo Safe Saws and hot glue guns that will be used in next year's flight class. While students will not actively use these materials until that course begins, their impact is already taking shape in powerful and meaningful ways. Having these resources in advance allows me to intentionally plan instruction, model proper use, and build foundational skills that will directly support student success when the projects officially begin.\r\n\r\nEarly access to these tools gives students time to learn safety procedures, tool vocabulary, and design expectations in a low-pressure environment. Many of my students are English language learners and come from low-income backgrounds, so familiarity and repetition are critical for confidence. By introducing concepts now—such as safe cutting techniques, proper glue gun handling, and responsible tool sharing—students are able to internalize expectations well before they are asked to apply them in complex engineering challenges. This preparation reduces anxiety and increases independence when students eventually begin constructing flight-based projects.","fullyFundedDate":1766767539997,"projectUrl":"project/skyward-creations-building-tomorrows-d/9972273/","projectTitle":"Skyward Creations: Building Tomorrow's Dreams with Makedo Saws","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Reynolds","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp3739897_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1673301810267","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/3739897"},{"teacherId":3739897,"projectId":9963398,"letterContent":"Thanks to your support, my students now have wired mice and clear plastic sleeves that make our coding classroom more accessible, organized, and student-friendly. These tools have improved accuracy, confidence, and independence as students write, test, and revise code. Most importantly, they've helped my students—many of whom are English learners and from low-income backgrounds—feel empowered and capable as real coders. With reliable mice, students can focus on problem-solving instead of struggling with touchpads, and the clear sleeves keep coding guides protected, visible, and easy to reference.
