Your generosity has made a meaningful difference in our classroom by providing resources that help us stay organized, maximize our instructional time, and give our students more opportunities to learn through hands-on activities.\r\n\r\nThe storage tubs have been especially helpful for organizing our recess activities. Each tub is used to keep different activities together, such as superhero toys, LEGOs, blocks, and other hands-on materials. Having the activities organized and easily accessible makes it easier for students to choose an activity and begin playing with their classmates. It also helps teach our kindergarten students important skills such as\r\nresponsibility, organization, sharing, and cleaning up after themselves.\r\n\r\nThe three-tier rolling cart has been a huge help during our small-group instruction. I use each level of the cart to organize materials and activities for our small groups. Instead of having to gather materials from different areas of the classroom, I can quickly roll the cart to the table where I am working with students. This allows me to spend less time preparing and more time focusing on instruction and interacting with my students.\r\n\r\nThe storage bags have also made a noticeable difference in our daily routines. We use them to keep each student's whiteboard, eraser, and dry-erase marker together. Previously, students had to gather each item individually, which could take several minutes and often resulted in materials being misplaced. Now, students can quickly grab their bag and be ready to learn. This simple organizational system has helped\r\nmake transitions smoother and allowed us to spend more time practicing important kindergarten skills.\r\n\r\nThe students were so excited when they saw our new storage and organizational materials! They were eager to explore the different recess activities and were especially excited to see that the LEGO and building materials, they already enjoy now had a designated place to be stored and organized. They were also excited to have their own organized supplies for small-group activities. Seeing their excitement over\r\nmaterials being organized and easily accessible reminded me how valuable these resources are in creating a classroom where students feel prepared and excited to learn.\r\n\r\nMost importantly, these resources have helped create a classroom environment where students can become more independent. Kindergarten students are learning so much more than academics throughout the school day. They are learning how to take responsibility for their belongings, follow routines, work with others, make choices, and care for their classroom materials. These resources provide opportunities to\r\npractice those skills every day.\r\n\r\nOur Next Steps\r\n• Teach students to independently select, use, and return recess activities.\r\n• Continue to develop student responsibility for classroom materials.\r\n• Use the rolling cart to organize and rotate small-group activities based on student needs.\r\n• Create additional hands-on learning opportunities for reading, writing, and math.\r\n• Establish consistent routines so students can quickly gather the materials they need and transition into\r\nlearning.\r\n• Continue to find ways to make our classroom more organized, accessible, and student friendly.\r\n\r\nThank you again for investing in our classroom and our students.
