Students are now able to access snacks, hygiene products, and basic necessities throughout the school day with no questions asked. What might seem small has had a huge impact. I've seen students who would normally be distracted, tired, or withdrawn come into class more focused and ready to learn simply because they know that they are going to be okay when they get to my room, for any reason. One moment that stood out was a student quietly grabbing a snack before a test and later telling me it helped them feel \"ready to actually think.\" That's the kind of impact you've created.\r\n\r\nWhen students first saw the pantry, their reactions were a mix of excitement and gratitude. Many were surprised that something like this existed just for them. It immediately became more than just a resource it became a symbol that someone cares about their well-being beyond academics and not just for athletes. It has also helped build a stronger classroom culture rooted in trust and support. Students feel more comfortable asking for what they need and looking out for one another, which has strengthened our classroom community in ways I didn't fully anticipate.\r\n\r\nMoving forward, the pantry will continue to support not just individual students, but the overall environment in which learning happens. As we dive into current units and projects, students are better equipped to stay engaged, collaborate with peers, and take academic risks because they feel supported. My goal is to continue normalizing access to these resources so that no student feels singled out, and every student feels valued. Your contribution has helped remove barriers that often go unseen, and because of you, my students have a greater opportunity to succeed both inside and outside the classroom.","fullyFundedDate":1766067767571,"projectUrl":"project/pantry-of-possibility/9643402/","projectTitle":"Pantry of Possibility","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Morrow","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp10082700_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1753128729938","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10082700"},{"teacherId":10082700,"projectId":9473915,"letterContent":"My students and I have already begun using the new resources in transformative ways. Our Nourish To Flourish classroom pantry is now fully open for students who may need a snack, hygiene items, or a small comfort during the school day. One of my favorite moments so far was watching a student walk over, ask if they could grab what they needed, and get right back to learning. That simple action represented something powerful. It showed that our classroom is becoming a space where students can focus on their education rather than worrying about basic barriers that might otherwise distract them.\r\n\r\nWhen students first saw the pantry, their reactions were full of excitement, surprise, and genuine appreciation. Several students expressed how helpful it was and how much it meant that someone thought about their needs beyond the academics. A few even offered to help with organizing and restocking. It reminded me how much young people value being supported and included in creating a positive environment.\r\n\r\nThese resources are already helping us take our learning to new heights. In U.S. History, students are working on identity-focused projects that connect who they are to the larger story of our nation. Having the pantry available means they can stay engaged, comfortable, and ready to participate fully in those deeper conversations and creative assignments. As we move toward bigger presentations and community-focused work, I know that this support system will continue to make a real difference. Our classroom feels stronger, more confident, and more united because of the kindness our donors extended to us.","fullyFundedDate":1753575567018,"projectUrl":"project/nourish-to-flourish-classroom-pantry/9473915/","projectTitle":"Nourish to Flourish Classroom Pantry","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Morrow","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp10082700_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1753128729938","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10082700"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_24951","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":2526,"numTeachers":154,"percentFrplEligible":67,"percentAsian":3,"percentBlack":3,"percentWhite":72,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":17,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"9 - 12","studentTeacherRatio":"16.4:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"SUBURBAN","ncesMetroType":"SUBURB_LARGE"},"inStateSupporters":71.4,"schoolId":24951,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Amos Alonzo Stagg High School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Amos Alonzo Stagg High School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/illinois/consolidated-high-school-district-230/amos-alonzo-stagg-high-school/24951"}
