They quickly learned that this is a space where they can go when they are feeling upset, tired, or overwhelmed.\r\n\r\nThe Calm Corner has helped students practice calming their bodies and emotions. One student chose to go to the library area, took a few deep breaths, and looked at a book until they felt ready to rejoin the class. Moments like this show our students that it is okay to take a break and use strategies to feel better.\r\n\r\nBecause of your support, our students are learning important social-emotional skills. We are continuing to teach students how to name their feelings and use the Calm Corner the right way.
