My students were so excited to come into the classroom and see all the new material. The classroom feels a bit more complete now that I have added these new material. I work at a very high needs school and many of my students do not get to experience some of the amazing things they experience at school. So I try my best to give them the best overall experience that I can give them. \r\n\r\nThe new tables that were funded have given my students a chance to enjoy reading even more. They are able to pick their own little table during ELA centers and use them as their own space to enjoy a collection of books they have chosen. They enjoy every minute of this time just because of the mini tables that were added to our library. \r\n\r\nOur magnetic board that was funded also made a great addition to our classroom. My scholars enjoy making words and putting the alphabet together during word work because of this amazing magnetic board.","fullyFundedDate":1748266269219,"projectUrl":"project/furniture-for-the-barnard-classroom/9368300/","projectTitle":"Furniture for the Barnard Classroom","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Rivas","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9580469_orig.jpg?crop=1242,1242,x0,y335&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1747703407645","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9580469"},{"teacherId":8549408,"projectId":8543645,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for your generous support of our classroom! Thanks to your contributions, my students now have a full set of scientific calculators and new flexible seating options, both of which have had an immediate and profound impact on our learning environment. \r\n\r\nThe calculators have been a game-changer for my students. At the start of the year, we were relying on a set of broken and outdated calculators, which often led to frustration and slower progress during lessons. Now, with a full set of reliable, functioning calculators, students are able to speed through basic calculations with confidence, freeing up their mental energy to focus on developing critical problem-solving skills. They are thrilled to use these tools and often comment on how much smoother their work feels now! \r\n\r\nThe flexible seating has also been a huge hit in our classroom, especially during independent work time. Students are excited to have the freedom to choose a space that suits their learning style, whether that's a comfortable chair for quiet focus or a spot to collaborate with a classmate. These seating options have created a more welcoming and productive atmosphere in the classroom. \r\n\r\nOne of the most exciting outcomes of these new additions has been the motivation they've sparked among my students. A group of eight students has started a friendly competition to see who can answer the most math questions correctly on our online program each day, all for the chance to earn a seat in the \"special\" chairs. This added incentive has brought new energy to our math time and has even motivated some students who previously struggled to engage with their exercises. It's wonderful to see them taking pride in their work and cheering each other on. \r\n\r\nYour generosity has transformed our classroom into a space that is both more effective for learning and more enjoyable for students. Thank you for believing in our potential and for making such a tangible difference in our daily lives.
