My students attend a low-income school in Oklahoma. As they prepare for big classroom changes this school year, they also have a need for more resources, more excitement, and more chances to READ, READ, READ. Each and every one of them comes from a diverse background, bringing their own personal experiences to the table. We want to engage their own life experiences and enhance their experience in the classroom - make it a safe haven to the rest of the world. To do this, we need books and resources. And the thoughts of loving family and friends across the country. Think of the DREAM team and the opportunities I hope to give these fourth graders once they leave my classroom.
