Additionally, the students are more engaged and enthusiastic about their reading, which impacts their reading stamina and comprehension. I use a program called Whooo's Reading to track their independent reading. Students complete quizzes and targeted skills assignments based on their reading. On average, my students have passed 95% of the quizzes they have taken on the books they are reading.\r\n\r\nFinally, my students' attitudes toward reading have shifted from reluctance to excitement. This excitement is evident in the conferences and discussions we have in class, as well as in their requests for more books and choosing to read at home instead of engaging in screen time.
