Your generosity has truly transformed our daily routine and created a nurturing space where our youngest learners feel safe, valued, and connected.\r\n\r\nWe have integrated our new resources directly into our daily center rotations. My students love using the sensory fidgets and social-emotional blocks in our library area. During a recent independent play moment, I watched two students use the sensory fidgets to explore and self regulate their feelings during play in the calmest area in the classroom. It was a beautiful to see this moment occur without prompting and entirely on their own.\r\n\r\n\r\nWhen the boxes first arrived and we opened them together, the classroom was filled with pure Pre-K magic! I witnessed all smiles and lots of cheers. They were so eager to touch the new blocks and try out the fidgets. When I explained that kind friends they had never met bought these specifically for our class, they all smiled. They felt incredibly special knowing people were rooting for them.\r\n\r\n\r\nOur next big step is diving into a self-portrait lesson, which we've completed. See the photos attached. We are using our new multicultural books to look closely at our unique features and celebrate our differences. The students used the new multicultural crayons and colored pencils to draw their own self-portraits. This project helped them practice fine motor skills while reinforcing the idea that every unique individual makes our classroom community whole and beautiful.\r\nThank you again for investing in my sweet Pre-K students.
