It has grown into a meaningful, community-building, rightful presence experience that positively impacts students, staff, and the culture of our building every day. What began as an opportunity for some of our students to develop functional, social, and motor skills has transformed into one of the most beloved traditions in our school.\r\nFor the students in the Cluster Program, the Brew Crew has provided a sense of pride and responsibility. They practice communication, teamwork, and independence while engaging in real-world tasks that help prepare them for future opportunities. Watching them grow in confidence as they take orders, prepare deliveries, and interact with staff has been truly inspiring. Their smiles, often matched by the smiles of the teachers and staff they meet, are a testament to how meaningful this experience is for them. They look forward to it every time! \r\nThe Brew Crew has become a highlight for the entire school community. Teachers and staff look forward to their visits, not simply for the coffee, hot chocolate (we've expanded), or snacks, but because of the joy and energy the students bring with them. It has become a small but powerful moment of connection that brightens the school day. \r\nThe excitement and positivity surrounding the Brew Crew have created a shared sense of community. It brings people together, encourages supportive interactions, and showcases the strengths and abilities of our students in ways that uplift everyone. We are incredibly proud of the Brew Crew and deeply grateful for the generosity of our donors, whose support has made this experience possible. Their contributions have helped create a program that not only enriches the lives of our students but also strengthens our entire school community.","fullyFundedDate":1755731093174,"projectUrl":"project/brewing-independence-one-cup-at-a-time/9600427/","projectTitle":"Brewing Independence, One Cup at a Time","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Lipa","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/272x272/tp311533_272x272.jpg?width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1489114703483","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/liana-lipa"},{"teacherId":10312827,"projectId":9830662,"letterContent":"Our new flexible seating option and easel have brought such positive energy and creativity into our classroom! The students have truly embraced the opportunity to choose where and how they learn best. During small group reading and writing time, students love gathering on the carpet or using the wobble stool to stay engaged while collaborating. The new easel has quickly become a central hub for learning — we use it daily during mini lessons for identifying \"I can\" statements for each lesson, displaying anchor charts, and showcasing student ideas during discussions.\r\n\r\nWhen the materials first arrived, the students' excitement was contagious! They eagerly helped set everything up and couldn't wait to try out the new seating choices. It was so special to see them take ownership of their learning environment, testing out different spots to find where they felt most focused and comfortable. \r\n\r\nLooking ahead, my students are diving deeper into a collaborative project on finding and using natural resources in social studies and identifying weather and climate patterns in science. The flexible seating allows them to move easily between group discussions and independent research, while the easel helps us organize our thinking and display new findings as we go. These new resources have made our classroom more dynamic, student-centered, and inspiring — and for that, we are truly grateful.","fullyFundedDate":1762267695235,"projectUrl":"project/extra-visual-support-and-flexible-seatin/9830662/","projectTitle":"Extra Visual Support and Flexible Seating Options in Our Classroom","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Tarasiewicz","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp10312827_orig.jpg?crop=719,719,x0,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1760974640416","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10312827"},{"teacherId":6587095,"projectId":9461746,"letterContent":"I want to extend my heartfelt thanks for your generous support in helping fund the grant for a new classroom rug. Your contribution has made a truly meaningful difference in our learning environment.\r\n\r\nSince adding the new rug to our classroom, I've seen a remarkable improvement in both student behavior and engagement. The larger and more comfortable space has given students the freedom to spread out, focus better, and collaborate more effectively. It's amazing how something as simple as a new rug can transform our space and the way we learn together.\r\n\r\nThe rug has become a central hub in our classroom—used for group discussions, independent reading, and hands-on activities. It has not only added comfort but has also fostered a more welcoming and calm atmosphere where students feel safe, focused, and ready to learn.\r\n\r\nThank you again for investing in our classroom and our future. I can already see the excitement on their faces as they show and share their friends the different insects they picked out. The science themes balls will have my students thrilled. The plastic beach balls will for sure be enjoyed for my fifth graders. And the spooky themes stretchy items will truly be loved by all of my students. The different materials are great especially for students who need to calm their bodies. \r\n\r\nOn behalf of my students, thanks so much for thinking of us. The colorful rug squares were immediately a favorite. Students now eagerly choose a square during independent reading, writing, or partner work. It's amazing how such a small change—giving them choice and comfort—has boosted their focus and sense of ownership during learning time. The seat sacks gave every student a \"home base\" for their supplies, which has helped our transitions become smoother and our materials stay organized.\r\n\r\nWe recently completed a landform research project, and the markers and crayons you provided brought student illustrations to life. They used them to label features, create persuasive posters, and bring their writing to a whole new level. Seeing their pride in their work—and how they used the craft supplies to express their ideas—was truly heartwarming. The new storage cart has helped us keep everything in one accessible place, which means less time looking for materials and more time creating.\r\n\r\nThese new resources are being used daily across subjects—from reading and writing to science and social studies. The flexible seating and craft supplies have helped bring more creativity, choice, and comfort into our routines. For example, during a recent landform writing project, students were able to spread out, collaborate, and illustrate their work with the materials you helped provide.
