This year, teachers were allowed to request a Smartboard or an AppleTV with and iPad. I chose the latter, but knew I would need a bluetooth speaker in order to be able to utilize the technology more completely.\r\n\r\nIn the past, it was more difficult for me to teach or stay in front of the room. Much of my teaching would either need to occur at my desk, where my technology needs were available, or I would have to move back and forth frequently. This was a waste of time and energy.\r\n\r\nWith the technology provided by the school and this speaker, I am now able to spend more time in front of the students or at the piano. This streamlines my teaching, because I do not need to move from the piano to my desk to play audio examples. This continues to make a big difference as I continue to get used to my new tools.","fullyFundedDate":1754577790389,"projectUrl":"project/mobile-music/9538029/","projectTitle":"Mobile Music","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Norrington","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp2590477_orig.jpg?crop=2048,2048,x0,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1611260913674","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/2590477"},{"teacherId":8732711,"projectId":9691098,"letterContent":"I plan to use it each daily as a social emotional lesson for my students. Since introducing them, I have noticed meaningful changes in both student focus and classroom culture.\r\n\r\nWobble chairs provide students with the freedom to move in a controlled way while still remaining seated at their desks, or tables. For many children, especially those who have difficulty sitting still for long periods of time, this has been a game-changer. The gentle movement helps students release excess energy, which in turn allows them to concentrate more effectively on their work. Rather than being distracted by the need to fidget, students are now able to channel that energy productively.\r\n\r\nBeyond focus, wobble chairs have also supported classroom engagement. Students who once struggled to remain attentive during lessons now show increased participation and are more willing to contribute to discussions. The chairs create a sense of choice and flexibility, which empowers students to take ownership of their learning environment. \r\n\r\nOverall, wobble chairs have transformed our classroom into a more dynamic, student-centered space. They promote movement, improve focus, and help create an environment where all learners can thrive. We are sincerely grateful for our generosity.","fullyFundedDate":1753747077307,"projectUrl":"project/creating-a-student-centered-learning-env/9462542/","projectTitle":"Creating a Student-Centered Learning Environment","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Coop","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9185951_orig.jpg?crop=1435,1435,x0,y1049&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1717636167711","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9185951"},{"teacherId":6312010,"projectId":9308422,"letterContent":"Thanks to your generous support, our classroom is now equipped with adjustable standing desks—and the impact has been incredible!\r\n\r\nThese desks have transformed the way students engage with their learning. Many of my students, especially those who struggle with focus or sitting for long periods, are now more alert and attentive. The option to stand, stretch, and move while working has helped reduce restlessness and boosted productivity. I've noticed students voluntarily choosing to use the standing desks for tasks like independent reading, writing, and small group work. It's clear they enjoy having control over how they learn.\r\n\r\nBeyond academics, these desks have also contributed to a more positive classroom culture. Students are more energized, collaborative, and motivated.
