The calming tools—such as fidget toys, stress balls, weighted blankets, and noise-canceling headphones—are now a regular part of our routine. Whenever a student feels overwhelmed or begins to escalate, they know they can take a break and use the cart to help regain control of their emotions. The results have been remarkable. One specific moment that stands out was when a student, typically very shy and prone to frustration, used the fidget spinner and deep breathing exercises from the cart to calm themselves down after a difficult interaction with a peer. Within minutes, they were able to return to the group and participate in our learning activities.\r\n\r\nWhen the students first saw the materials, their eyes lit up! They were excited to have these tools that would help them feel safe and supported. Some of our favorites are the stress balls and the breathing balls.\r\n\r\nAs we move forward, we plan to continue integrating these tools into our daily routines, encouraging students to recognize their emotional needs and take ownership of their self-regulation.
