Do you know there are secret sunken cities found all around the ocean? Or that all oviparous animals lay eggs? Well my students want to know! They want to explore the world outside of their little community, and the Scholastic News monthly Magazine program is the best way to put the world into their tiny hands. They will be using the magazines weekly to discuss and debate the articles, read about the many interesting places, events and people in their world. These magazines will also help with reading fluency, vocabulary building, and comprehension skills which is very important for first grade!
