It is allowing our students in K-7 continue to grow through being a hands-on STEAM and PBL school. We appreciate the support. \r\n\r\nAlthough not all grades have been able to have practice time on the chomp saws, grades 3-4-5 have used the saws for a recent STEM activity. We read a short story about a turkey and a pig. Students were asked to created a pig or turkey pen (right around the Thanksgiving / Christmas season) out of cardboard. Students had requirements they had to following for their animal pen. It had to be a certain height. It could only be held up by the string and tape given to them. Students were also asked to create a sign for their animal pen. Students were given time to draft their animal pen, draw on the cardboard and then time to cut. We were able to get 60 kids to use the chomp saws (rotating through) in about an hour and half! It was a total success. \r\n\r\nGrades 4-5-6-7 are creating plans to use the chomp saws this coming April when our school holds our end of the year student Craft Fair. Students will have the opportunity to use the chomp-saws to help create their \"item\" they wish to \"sell\" to other students for school Eagle Bucks.
