These allow me to do constant checks on learning and my students can give me a quick check. On top of that, my students can work with each other and be doing something with movement. My students love choosing different colors and making their boards their own creative space. \r\nI use the rolling whiteboard to do mini lessons with students and to post a daily inspirational quote. The freedom to move the board throughout the class and help engage different sections with different things is amazing! They are building different roller coaster set ups so that they can show increasing velocity, decreasing velocity, and constant velocity. Next we will be using them to go over acceleration and gravity. Later in the year, students will use the roller coasters to create a set up that will withstand the centripetal acceleration of pulling water out of a cup!\r\n\r\nThe students were so excited to get brand new roller coaster set ups and masses. We use the masses literally everyday to work on so many different labs. The students love to work with their hands and investigate all the physics involved.\r\n\r\nWe are all so very thankful for the supplies and can't wait to keep using everything throughout the entire year. The students use them constantly for labs in physics and physical science. We can now have much more accurate time so that we can calculate velocity, acceleration, and force with precision. On top of that, we can wirelessly collect our data and input it into graphs real-time and look at our results.\r\nWe can even put it into double gate mode and work with elastic and inelastic collisions. Before we had these photogates, some of these labs were almost impossible to collect data for and show what was actually occurring. Now my students can do it with ease and look at momentum and impulse of items as well.
