They expressed their gratitude of a complete stranger giving to our classroom. The first chapter was read with a lot of excitement. I appreciate that it is a heavy topic that is formatted in a way that the students can enjoy learning about the topic of the Battle of Gettysburg. \r\n\r\nI purchased a novel study guide to go along with the book and the students are enjoying being able to reflect on each chapter, answer questions and illustrate their perception of a specific topic, or event. We have managed to read 2 chapters and I am hoping that we can finish by the end of the year. \r\n\r\nMoving forward, I will use this class set each year to read about this historic event. The \"I Survived\" books are a quick yet engaging read. Thank you again for your giving nature.
