The kids were absolutely thrilled to get the exercise ball chairs, and they've already made such a difference in engagement and focus during lessons. They are so excited every day when they get to come and sit on the chairs. I'm running six groups this year in my classroom, and we use our whiteboards daily, so having plenty of markers and erasers for everyone has been such a huge help. The organizational supplies, like the pencil buckets and the sharpener, have kept our classroom running smoothly and saved us so much time. They keep us much more organized, so we aren't wasting minutes tracking down supplies, and we can move right into projects. Due to your donation and these materials, our classroom feels even more welcoming, comfortable, and student-centered. On a personal note, I so appreciate the office chair; my back thanks you every day!\r\n\r\nYour generosity not only gave us the tools we need but also reminded us that people truly care about students and their success. I am truly grateful for your kindness. I have already learned so much from this writing course. I know it will not only strengthen my instruction, but also have a lasting impact on my students' writing. Writing has always been one of the more challenging subjects for me to teach, so having access to this course and the practical tools it provides has been such a gift.\r\n\r\nAs a co-teacher, I'm able to bring these strategies into multiple classrooms, which means other teachers are also growing as writing instructors alongside me. I'm confident that by the end of this course, I'll have developed a writing curriculum I can use for years to come.\r\n\r\nWe've already kicked off the year with a \"writing bootcamp,\" and it's been so encouraging to see students feel more confident about writing sentences and explaining their ideas. I'm excited to keep building on this momentum and to bring even more of what I'm learning into our classrooms.\r\n\r\nThank you again for making this possible. Your support truly means so much to me! Thanks to your donation, I was able to buy some amazing books that helped me dive deeper into how to support multilingual learners. I recently finished my Master's in Curriculum and Instruction, and for my Capstone project, I created a professional development training all about helping multilingual students succeed. The training includes eight sessions, covering topics like creating a culturally responsive classroom, using tech to support MLs, writing language objectives, building background, making lessons more understandable, and more. So many of the strategies I used came straight from the books you helped me get. Not only did I learn a ton, but I'm actually going to share this training with my whole school next year, so your generosity is helping even more teachers and students! I officially graduated in March, and I'm walking away with new tools, fresh ideas, and a lot of excitement about putting everything into practice. Thank you again for helping make this possible. Your support means the world to us. Teachers Pay Teachers has been an incredible resource for finding fun and engaging materials that help our students grow in their English proficiency, and your contribution made that possible!\r\nBecause of you, we've played countless fun and engaging games like Bingo, Speaking Tic-Tac-Toe, Jeopardy, and more. These activities have not only made learning fun but also helped students strengthen their teamwork and speaking skills. They've had an absolute blast!\r\nI teach science across multiple grade levels, and thanks to your donation, we were able to do several hands-on STEM activities aligned with our state standards. During our weather and natural disasters unit, students built structures designed to keep people safe during emergencies. They wrote speeches explaining how their designs worked and why safety matters, then practiced and presented to each other. We even hosted a family engagement day when parents were invited to see the projects and hear their children present. Watching students proudly share their work with their families was such a meaningful and memorable moment.\r\nI also work closely with first and second graders on writing, which is a subject that can be especially challenging for multilingual learners. With the resource we purchased using your donation, our students are making amazing progress! They're now able to tell their stories orally, label pictures, and write simple sentences. It brings me so much joy to see them gaining confidence and becoming proud writers.\r\nWe've already done so much with your support, and the best part is we still have money left to use in the coming years! Your donation is helping students now and will continue to make an impact for years to come. From speaking and listening to reading and writing, our learners are growing in so many ways, and I am deeply thankful for the tools and opportunities your generosity has made possible.","fullyFundedDate":1737927404482,"projectUrl":"project/empowering-multilingual-learners-through/9039968/","projectTitle":"Empowering Multilingual Learners Through Creative Resources","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Taylor","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp8234382_orig.png?crop=298,298,x11,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1733947124303","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/8234382"},{"teacherId":8234382,"projectId":9001574,"letterContent":"I can't thank you enough for your generosity! You have no idea how much this means to us. Everyone is so excited about this curriculum, and I know it will make a huge difference for our students. Almost half of our school are multilingual learners, and we welcome newcomers throughout the year. This curriculum will help them learn the survival skills they need to feel more comfortable and confident in their new environment.\r\n\r\nThis is my second year as a multilingual co-teacher, and finding evidence-backed resources for newcomers has been challenging. When I stumbled across this curriculum, I thought, Wow, this would be amazing to have! But it was way out of my budget—until you made it happen. You turned that dream into a reality, and I can't tell you how much that means to me and my students.\r\n\r\nWe've already tried a few activities, and the kids love it!
