Before I only had about 5 books and only a few could enjoy this wonderful book. Now my whole class can read and enjoy it. In years past several students came up to me after reading the book and told me they saw a lot of the main character in them. That the main character is not perfect, has hurdles to jump and over comes them. It is very inspiring book and puts a spin on over coming and not blaming others or blames others for their short comings. Its very inspiring and a feel good book with a good message. A good message for students and teachers. In the book the main character works with an amazing teacher and he helps her during the journey on learning how to read, even though the main character is in 6th grade.\r\n\r\nAgain, thank you for taking the time and money to help my classroom out. It creates a love of reading for years to come.","fullyFundedDate":1733267498544,"projectUrl":"project/fun-read-for-book-club-a-girl-with-dys/8885603/","projectTitle":"Fun Read for Book Club - A Girl With Dyslexia","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Bartels","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp8291079_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1703229468703","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/bartels5thgrade"},{"teacherId":8291079,"projectId":9008811,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for providing new books for 4th and 5th grade. My students were so excited to crack open a new book without the pages falling out. The paperback books you replaced where close to 5 years old or even older. Also, it is nice to have the same edition because some books we will refer to page 10 quote, but depending what edition they have, that same quote might be 3 pages before or later. Now it is easier to teach to the whole class about text evidence and referring back to text by citing.\r\n\r\nWith the old falling apart books, we plan to upcycle them and turn them into art projects. Such has paper flowers and artwork for the school's library.\r\n\r\nAgain, thank you so much for support my classroom with a classic book that they can each hold in their hands. Getting them off the computers with a good book to support 4th grade curriculum and 5th grade fun book club.","fullyFundedDate":1736895521676,"projectUrl":"project/replacing-well-loved-books-for-a-popular/9008811/","projectTitle":"Replacing Well Loved Books for a Popular Book","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Bartels","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp8291079_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1703229468703","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/bartels5thgrade"},{"teacherId":6141181,"projectId":8616710,"letterContent":"Thank you so very much for helping to purchase the flexible seating chairs for my 4th grade classroom!
