I was able to repair so many books that were tucked away and broken from so much use. Now we can enjoy my books for a longer period of time. My students have enjoyed watching me carefully repair books and put them back together. The first subject of FCF was \"Unwind\" by Neal Shusterman. It has been checked out by different students consistently since then, and that was in November. The second book featured in FCF was \"A Good Girl's Guide to Murder\" by Holly Jackson, and it was also snatched up immediately.\r\n\r\nMy students have had such a positive response to FCFs, and I am hoping to expand it to twice a month instead of once per month. Kids who typically have no interest in reading are saying great things like, \"That was SO good!\" and \"I want to read more!\" \r\n\r\nI'm incredibly excited to keep expanding my classroom library and get more books into my students' hands to read sheerly for enjoyment without any assignments attached. I do believe that is how they will build reading stamina, and that can only help them in their schooling and their lives in general.
