At the beginning of the school year, I submitted this project to be funded and never thought it actually would be! I was so surprised to learn that it was fully funded, I really appreciate it!\n\nMy goal was to make bulletin boards for each of my 7 schools because I wanted the students, staff and parents to have a visual that would remind them that there is a school nurse this year (1st time they have had one!), and something fun, health-related to educate them too! \n\nMy first project was a poster for one of my elementary schools. The theme is car/travel, so I made a \"Highway to Health\" poster that listed ways to stay healthy during cold/flu season. I have had positive feedback, although my art skills are questionable! \n\nI also was able to make health and safety related posters (using my laminator) and put those up around the schools. They are quick reference posters to remind staff/parents/students how to respond to medical emergencies such as anaphylaxis or seizures.
