Your investment has injected an entirely new level of energy into our club, and our students were absolutely thrilled to unpack the technology they will be working with this year. \r\n\r\nThese drones are serving as our hands-on laboratory for understanding the complex physics and mechanics behind aviation. Thanks to your support, my students are exploring the science of flight with real-world applications. \r\n\r\nAerodynamics and Lift: Students are observing firsthand how the shape and rotation speed of the propeller blades generate enough lift to overcome gravity.\r\n\r\nThe Physics of Motion (Newton's Law): By manipulating the throttle and pitch, students study action and reaction, seeing how shifting the balance of thrust allows the drone to hover, tilt or go forward. \r\n\r\nTorque and Yaw Control: They are learning how counter-rotating motors cancel out rotational force allowing them to control the drone's yaw with high precision. \r\n\r\nWe are especially excited to put this learning on public display next week. Our club will be part of an exhibition at the Fremont Count Lights On After School Celebration. This event is designed to put a spotlight on afterschool programs in our area and showcase our students. Thanks to your donation, our students will be helping us solidify a community culture where programs are recognized, celebrated, and championed for the value they bring. Bridging textbook physics with tangible, interactive technology is giving our students a major platform to shine in front of parents and neighbors.
